Rocky Mountain Vibes News Release

OGDEN, UTAH - A sustained attack by Ogden thrust them to a 9-3 victory over the Vibes on Tuesday night.

Despite jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a Luis Navarro home run, Rocky Mountain would not score again off Raptors starter Ronny Orta, who went seven strong innings for the win.

Ogden scored their first run off Jacob Wesselmann in the second then tied the game in the third with two more.

Working consecutively, the Vibes' opponents scored again in the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth. Their biggest haul came in the sixth where they brought in three Raptors.

Gaylon Viney made his Vibes debut, pitching the seventh and the eighth, allowing just one unearned run and striking out two batters.

The Vibes didn't get any help in the standings either, with Grand Junction winning a slugfest over Northern Colorado 18-11. Rocky Mountain is now 5.5 games back of first place.

I've gotten a few comments recently from some folks who have had a hard time ascertaining just exactly what the 2nd half standings are. There is a glitch in the PBL and team websites that displays the standings incorrectly. So in the interest in clarity, I'll start posting the correct end-of-night standings at the end of each article as long as that's still the case.
