Rapids visit San Jose before returning home for Champions League match

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Monday, August 8, 2011) - The Colorado Rapids (9-6-10, 37 points) travel to the face the San Jose Earthquakes (5-8-10, 23 points) at Buck Shaw Stadium this Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. MT). The Rapids are coming off their second consecutive win, shutting out the Columbus Crew 2-0 on Friday. Brian Mullan scored a 30-yard rocket for his first goal in a Rapids uniform, while Omar Cummings scored his third goal of the season, combining once again with Sanna Nyassi, who had the assist.
Following the match against the Earthquakes, the Rapids will return home for a pair of home games, first hosting Isidro Metapán of El Salvador in CONCACAF Champions League action on Wednesday, August 17 at 8:00 p.m. MT.
