
Eastern Conference runner-up Union host Western Conference's FC Dallas on Saturday night

Chester, Pa. (August 8, 2011) - Eastern Conference runner-up Philadelphia Union (8-5-9, 33 points) will host Western Conference opponent FC Dallas (12-6-6, 42 points) this weekend at PPL Park on Saturday, August 13. The match, which is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 p.m. EST, will be broadcast live on 6abc with 30-minute pregame show starting at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The Union return to action after posting back to back ties against Chicago Fire on Wednesday, August 3 and Houston Dynamo three days later. Union youngster Jack McInerney scored his first tally of the 2011 season, 14 minutes into the game against the Dynamo, while Veljko Paunovic netted his second goal with the Union against Chicago on Wednesday.
Dallas are coming off a 3-1 loss to Major League Soccer leader LA Galaxy, after FCD opened the scoring with a goal by Marvin Chavez. The midfielder is one of Dallas' top offensive producers with five goals and four assists this season, along with Brek Shea (9 goals, 1 assist) and Maicon dos Santos Correa (6 goals, 1 assist).
Newly appointed U.S. Men's National Team coach Jurgen Klinsmann will make his stateside debut on Wednesday night when the US takes on rival Mexico on August 10 at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m. EST.
