Rapids Unified Announces 2023 Roster and Schedule

The Colorado Rapids are proud to announce the Rapids Unified schedule and team for the 2023 season.

Entering its 11th season, the team features 10 Special Olympics Colorado athletes, including eight veterans of the Rapids Unified program and two newcomers.

Returning players for the Rapids are Rylan Kermes, Arturo Lopez, Shelby Raines, Aiden Ramirez, Colton Rice, Michael Shumake, Trevor Walsh and Jake Whitney, while making their debuts this season will be Katherine Wagner and Jordan Hirschhorn. Partners for the Unified team include Azur Ewari, Enzo Ewari, Hayden Hawley, Louie Persico, Chase Smith, Collin Underly and Reed Wangerin.

The Rapids Unified schedule is finalized with three home games and two away games. The team kicks off the season, taking on Real Salt Lake Unified at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park, on May 20 at the conclusion of the professional match.

A signing day and media opportunity for the team will take place later this spring.
