
Rapids Match v. Atlas Canceled

DENVER (Tuesday, October 22, 2002) - The international exhibition match between the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer and Atlas of the Mexican First Division, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at INVESCO Field, has been canceled.
Atlas technical director Fernando Quirarte, who was recently hired as head coach, pulled his club from the match after deciding that the game did not fit his team's schedule. No makeup date for the game has been scheduled.
All tickets reserved through TicketMaster phone, Internet and the Colorado Rapids Front Office have received a credit to the Credit Card that they used to reserve the tickets. All tickets reserved through the INVESCO Field at Mile High Box Office and TicketMaster outlets must be returned to the place of purchase to receive a refund. All tickets for the October 30th exhibition game vs. Atlas of Mexico are invalid and not exchangeable for any future Rapids game. Call the Rapids Front Office at 303-299-1599 for more information.
