
Rapids Loan Amir Lowery To Atlanta Silverbacks For Remainder of 2005 USL Season

DENVER, CO (August 4, 2005) - The Colorado Rapids announced today that the club has loaned defender Amir Lowery to the USL First Division's Atlanta Silverbacks for the remainder of the 2005 USL First Division season. The Rapids maintain Lowery's rights and can call him back to Colorado at any point during the 2005 MLS season.
Lowery, who made his debut with the Rapids first team in the team's 3-1 win over Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center, has also been a steady starter with the Black and Blue's Reserve Team. He has played a total of six games in the MLS Reserves Tournament in 2005.
