Rapids Defeat Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo

Pachuca, Mex. (Tuesday, February 20, 2007) - In their pre-season opener, the Rapids defeated Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) 5-1 on Tuesday, February 20.

Colorado got goals from John DiRaimondo , Roberto Brown, Mike Petke and two from trialist Angel Sosa. UAEH scored their goal off a free kick in the 36th minute. Petke's goal and Sosa's second both came off of corner kicks. Trialist Dario Husain was taken down in the box for Sosa's penalty kick goal.
