Rangers Send Storm Home With 3-2 Loss

The Kitchener Rangers closed out the holiday weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Guelph Storm to improve their winning streak to four.

Cody McNaughton scored the game's first two goals to put the Storm up 2-0 by the 14:34 mark of the first period. T.J. Battani answered back when he jammed in a power play goal at 18:41 to close out the scoring in the period.

Brandon Mashinter tied the score 2-2 with the Rangers second power play goal of the game at 8:41. Steve lock put Kitchener ahead 3-2 after finding the back of the net with his first goal of the season at the 15:19 mark.

The third period was scoreless.

Guelph goaltender Thomas McCollum faced 22 shots from the Rangers while Parker Van Buskirk turned aside 35 of 37 shots by the Storm.

The Rangers return to action Friday, October 17th when the Belleville Bulls visit The Aud for a 7:30pm game.
