Rangers Reassign Players From Training Camp

New York, September 18, 2006 -- New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has released one player and reassigned six players to their respective teams. The Rangers now have 57 players remaining in training camp, including six goaltenders, 21 defensemen and 30 forwards. New York begins its exhibition schedule Tuesday, September 19 when the team travels to New Jersey to face the Devils.

The NHL's New York Rangers hockey club, currently entering its 81st year of operation, is part of Madison Square Garden, L.P. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns MSG L.P., which also includes the New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the Hartford Wolf Pack (American Hockey League), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net, MSG Entertainment and the Madison Square Garden arena complex, located in the heart of the New York metropolitan area.
