
Randy Gatewood Named May's Ironman of the Month

Phoenix, AZ - Randy Gatewood, who has already been named First Team All-AFL and All-Ironman this season, was named the Arena Football League's Ironman of the Month for the month of May.
Gatewood (WR/DB, UNLV) had 21 catches for 233 yards and nine touchdowns during the month. He also added 6.5 tackles and an interception in the three May games. The Rattlers went 2-1 in May, and secured the sixth seed in the AFL Playoffs.
Gatewood was named to the Arena Football League's First Team All-AFL list on Tuesday, joining teammate Sherdrick Bonner. On Wednesday, Gatewood was named to the AFL All-Ironman squad for the second year in a row.
This is the first monthly award in Gatewood's career, and the second of the season for the Rattlers. Sherdrick Bonner was named Offensive Player of the Month for April.
