Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release
The International League announced today that Syracuse outfielder Corey Brown and Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre pitcher Ramon Ortiz have been named the League's Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the period from May 21-27. Brown is the first member of the Chiefs to win an IL weekly award this season, while Ortiz becomes the third member of the Yankees to be so honored (Dewayne Wise, April 9-15, and Steve Pearce, May 7-13).
