Reno, NV - The Tacoma Rainiers (35-48) had a win streak of four in extra-inning games snapped by the Reno Aces (44-40) on Sunday evening at Greater Nevada Field by a 3-2 final, as the clubs split their six-game series. The teams stranded each automatic runner at second base in the 10th inning, before the Aces won it on a single in the 11th.

Joe Odom smacked an RBI double into the right field gap in the second inning to stake Tacoma to a 1-0 lead. It scored Drew Ellis (single) all the way from first base. It was 2-0 Rainiers in the third with a Jarred Kelenic leadoff walk, Brian O'Keefe base hit and an Erick Mejia RBI single.

In the home third however, Aces centerfielder Corbin Carroll, a Seattle native and one of baseball's top-ranked prospects, lifted his first career Triple-A homer in his Triple-A debut. The two-run shot to right field tied the game. Carroll was promoted to Reno from Double-A Amarillo (Texas League) on Saturday.

Konner Wade threw five innings for Tacoma, and scattered five hits and a walk. Wade struck out two and both runs against him were earned while throwing 80 pitches (55 strikes). Reno LHP Tommy Henry went 6.0 IP: 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K.

Wilmer Difo was Reno's tie-breaking runner at second base to begin the bottom of the 11th. Grayson Greiner pulled one up the 3B/LF line, easily scoring Difo to defeat Tacoma in walk-off fashion.

After an off/travel day on Monday, the Rainiers' schedule resumes on Tuesday at Cheney Stadium with a series opener against the Oklahoma City Dodgers. It will be OKC's first visit to Tacoma since 2018, and top LA Dodgers prospect Ryan Pepiot (RHP) will start for the visitors. RHP Chris Mazza will be the opener for Tacoma, a 7:05 PT first pitch.

Rainiers broadcaster Mike Curto will have full coverage on TacomaRainiers.com. All 2022 Rainiers games, home and away, can also be heard for free on the MiLB First Pitch app. HD video broadcasts of every game can be viewed with a MiLB.TV subscription.
