Salem RidgeYaks News Release
Winston-Salem, NC (July 9, 2009) - The final game of Salem's season-long road trip was postponed on Thursday due to sustained rains in the Triad. The Red Sox and Dash do meet again next week at Lewis-Gale Field in Salem, but Thursday's contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader when Salem returns to North Carolina on September 1.
Although the Red Sox lost two out of three games to the Dash this week, they did garner five of the nine contests on the road trip. Salem now heads back home for 12 of the next 15 games, beginning with a three-game set against the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Friday night at Lewis-Gale Field. Kyle Weiland will start for Salem against Wilmington's Eduardo Paulino, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05.
