Rain Forces Saturday Postponement for Curve, Squirrels

CURVE, Pa. - Saturday evening's third game of four between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and Altoona Curve at Peoples Natural Gas Field has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up on Saturday, May 5 as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.

Those fans that have tickets to Saturday night's (April 21st) contest at Peoples Natural Gas Field can exchange them for any other remaining 2012 Altoona Curve game for equal or lesser value based on availability.

The Curve and Squirrels will put the wraps on their weather-abbreviated three-game series Sunday afternoon at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Left-hander Aaron Poreda (2-0, 1.64), Saturday night's scheduled starter, will be pushed back a day to go in Sunday's finale. Richmond will do the same with righty Craig Westcott (0-2, 6.89) toeI the rubber for the Squirrels' getaway affair.

Sunday morning, the Curve will host a Youth Baseball Clinic at Peoples Natural Gas Field at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 9 p.m. The clinic is free to all Galliker's Curve Kids Club members and to those who have purchased tickets to Sunday's game. Kids Club membership is also free for children ages 12 and under.

Sunday is also Atlantic Broadband Customer Appreciation Day, Kids Club Day presented by Galliker's, and Community Collection Day with the Curve hosting a computer recycling event at the ballpark benefitting Skills of Central Pa., Inc.

Airtime for Sunday's finale of the Flying Squirrels' first 2012 visit to Curve, Pa. is set for 5:30 p.m. on ESPN 1430 and the Curve Radio Network. After a Monday off, the Curve are back home for a three-game series against the Harrisburg Senators at Peoples Natural Gas Field beginning on Tuesday, April 24th at 6:30 p.m.
