RailRiders defeat Pioneers 14-4

Victor RailRiders News Release
After 3 scoreless innings in Victor on Wednesday night, the RailRiders bats finally came alive in the bottom of the 4th. Nolan Schultz lead off the inning with an opposite field home run to score the first run of the ballgame. One bater later, Aaron Endres would single, steal second, and then come home on a Dale Wickham RBI single. Tommy Wagner then walked and Brady Acker hit a 2 RBI triple right before Mark Cardinalli hit a sac fly to male the score 5-0.
After Elmira scored 2 runs in the top of the 5th, Victor answered right back with one of their own. Nate Ricci lead off the inning with a single and Schultz doubled off the left field wall before Endres grounded out to score Ricci from third.
The game would remain 6-2 until the 8th when Elmira scored 2 more runs to brings Victor's lead down to 2. Elmira was able to load the bases before Matt Boone came in to get the final out of the inning.
Victor would significantly add to their lead in the bottom half of the inning, sending up 13 battering and scoring 8 runs. Brady Acker started off the scoring with a towering solo home run over the left field wall. Cardinalli followed up by advancing to fist on a hit by pitch, Evan Fernandez singled, and Nate Ricci drove them both in with a double into the right field gap. Schultz then singled, Endres walked, and a bases loaded walk to Wickham brought Ricci in to score. With 2 outs, Tommy Wagner singled through the left side to bring in 2 more runs and Acker was walked. Chris Introcaso entered the game as a pinch hitter and delivered a 2 RBI double to make the score 14-4.
John Saviano got the win for Victor, going 5.0 innings with 5 hits and 4 K's.
Jesse Bogacz threw 2 scoreless innings giving up just one hit, and Dylan Sweatman pitched a scoreless final inning.
Brady Acker was 4-5 on the day, ending just a double from the cycle. He had 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Nolan Schultz finished 3-4 with a home run and 2 runs scored. Every starter for the RailRiders ended up with at least 1 hit.
The RailRiders will be back home on Saturday when they face off with the Newark Pilots at 5:00.
