August 2, 2015 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL)
Victor RailRiders News Release

After taking game one of the series in Elmira, the RailRiders were able to complete the sweep, winning game two by a score of 4-0.

The Riders got another terrific performance out of their pitching staff on Sunday. This time it was Peter Lannoo (Cornell) University) who earned the victory after pitching a complete game 3 hitter with 6 strikeouts. It was Lannoo's 4th win of the season and second straight quality start.

Victor got on the board in the bottom of the second, scoring 2 runs on a pair of hits. Matt Fallon (Xavier University) lead off with a walk, Chris Introcaso (College of St. Rose) singled, Mike Meyers (RIT) singled in Fallon, and Chris Lehane (Jacksonville University) grounded out, bringing in Introcaso to make the score 2-0.

Victor scored its 3rd and 4th runs in the sixth, again needing 2 hits to do it. Mark Cardinalli (UC Davis) and Even Fernandez (Jacksonville University) hit nearly identical back-to-back home runs to left center field to give the Riders a 4-0 lead they would not relinquish.

All but one Victor starter had 1 hit in the game, with Fernandez going 2-4 including the home run.

Victor will play the winner of the East Division Championship series being played between Amsterdam and Mohawk Valley. Game 1 of the finals would be played either Monday or Tuesday depending on when the East Division series comes to a close.
