North Carolina FC News Release
CARY, N.C. - The RailHawks are on their way to Baltimore to face Crystal Palace on Saturday night. The match, originally slated for 5 p.m. at Paul Angelo Russo Stadium, has been re-scheduled and will be played at Lumsden-Scott Stadium at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the match online at www.palacebaltimore.com.
"We're focused on what we need to do to win," said RailHawks head coach Martin Rennie. "We've done well on the road and with a win we can break another franchise record. We're obviously disappointed with our latest result but we have been playing well and we must put the loss behind us and focus on doing well on the road."
This is the second of four meetings between the two teams with the first one being a 1-1 draw at WakeMed Soccer Park. Palace Baltimore forward Tsuyoshi Yoshitake and defender Andrew Marshall share the lead in goals and assists (two goals and one assist each). Crystal Palace also lost one of their leading scorers in Randi Patterson when he was traded to the Austin Aztex last month.
The RailHawks are looking to bounce back from last Wednesdays 2-0 loss against the Rochester Rhino and continue their amazing road form. With a win tomorrow night, the RailHawks will break last season's record of five away victories.
Carolina returns home on Wednesday, August 18 at 7 p.m. when they host Miami FC. It will be Taste of the Triangle night and fans will be able to try food from some of the best restaurants in the area.
