CARY, NC - The Carolina RailHawks improved to 4-1-1 on the season, after a 4-2 victory over Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday night, at WakeMed Soccer Park. Pablo Campos found the back of the net twice, and the RailHawks also got goals from Etienne Barbara and Allan Russell to secure the win.

The Strikers jumped on top early with an acrobatic goal from Patrick Otte in the 8th minute. The early deficit sparked the RailHawks, who began to combine well up top. The RailHawks evened the game in the 17th minute on a powerful header from Pablo Campos. Barbara curled in a ball from the right flank and Campos out jumped his defender to direct the ball of the crossbar and in.

As the game took on a frantic pace, Barbara earned a penalty kick in the 26th minute after a flurry of shots in the box from Zimmerman, Campos, and Barbara. A minute later, Barbara slotted home the penalty kick for his seventh goal of the season, putting the RailHawks on top 2-1.

In the second half, Campos scored again with another header in the 60th minute, to put the RailHawks on top 3-1. Floyd Franks orchestrated the play with a finely placed corner kick that Campos directed past Nic Platter. After David Santamaria cut the lead to 3-2 in stoppage time, Allan Russell put the final nail in the coffin with a stoppage time strike, ending the game at 4-2.

Next, the RailHawks hit to the road to take on the Montreal Impact on May 14. They return to WakeMed Soccer Park on May 21, at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Puerto Rico Islanders.
