Seattle, WA (Sunday, August 26, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks lost 4-3 to the Seattle Sounders in a truly electrifying match that saw both teams fight for the win. Hamed Diallo scored a magnificent hat-trick only to see the RailHawks advantage get taken away later in the game. Seattle opened the scoring with Josh Gardner in the 16th minute. Diallo's first goal came only six minutes later when he received a through ball from Martin Nuñez and slotted it past Seattle goalkeeper Chris Eylander to level the score. Diallo would find the back of the net again in the 30th minute driving a ball into the goal assisted by Santiago Fusilier putting the RailHawks up 2-1. Roger Levesque found the equalizer as he headed a ball in past Chris McClellan from a corner kick in the 35th minute sending the teams to the locker rooms tied at 2 at the half. Diallo's third goal came only five minutes into the second half as he found himself in front of Eylander and slotted the ball right past him. The RailHawks advantage lasted until the 63rd minute when Josh Gardner would score his second goal of the match. The game-winning goal came just two minutes later in the 65th minute when Sebastien Letoux picked up a loose ball in the box and tallied his eleventh goal of the season fixing the score at 4-3.
