North Carolina FC News Release
Cary, N.C. (Monday, July 26, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks (6-3-6, 24 pts.) begin the second half of the season at home against the Rochester Rhinos (8-5-6, 30 pts.) on Tuesday night. The match is presented by Life Time Fitness and is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and tickets ($10, $15 and $20, +$2 day of game) are still available at the LGFCU Box Office, by calling 919-859-5425 or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com. It is also "Brewsday Tuesday" and all draft beer will be only $1.
"I expect it to be a very hard game," said RailHawks coach Martin Rennie. "The Rhinos are a very well organized team; they work really hard and are in a good position in the league so it's another important game for us. We have done well in our first half of the season especially with so many away games and now we can focus on our home form."
This is the third out of four matches between the RailHawks and the Rhinos this season with the RailHawks having one the latest match in Rochester 1-0 with a goal by Sallieu Bundu. Forwards Isaac Kissi and Anthony Hamilton share the team lead in goals scored with four each. The Rhinos will be without defender Andrew Pitchkolan who earned a red card in the last outing, a 3-1 loss against Puerto Rico last Saturday night.
The RailHawks will look to earn three important points against Rochester as a win would put them behind Vancouver by only three points with three games in hand. RailHawks fans will not want to miss this great midweek match where they may catch a glimpse of Carolina's newest addition, Scottish forward Allan Russell.
The RailHawks continue their home stand on Saturday, July 31 at 7 p.m. as they host the Vancouver Whitecaps. It will be Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Night and all fans in attendance will receive a BCBSNC/RailHawks Koozie. Tickets for all matches may be purchased at the LGFCU Box Office, by calling 919-859-5425 or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com.
