
RailHawks Earn Road Victory in Minnesota

BLAINE, Minnesota (October 19, 2013) - The Carolina RailHawks (5W-2T-4L, 17pts) captured a 1-0 road victory over Minnesota United (4W-2T-6L, 14pts) on Saturday afternoon at National Sports Center Stadium. The win was the RailHawks first road victory in 2014 and the first-ever victory in Minnesota.
In the 52nd minute, RailHawks midfielder Enzo Martinez unleashed a blast from distance for the games only goal. Martinez found space 30 yards out from goal when he collected a loose ball and took two touches to setup his strike.
Martinez's goal was reminiscent of the RailHawks first trip to Minnesota in the NASL Spring Season. In that match, Martinez scored an equalizer from 25 yards out to level the match 2-2.
The RailHawks finish the NASL Fall Season with two home matches on October 26th and the season finale on November 2nd. On Saturday, October 26th the RailHawks return to WakeMed Soccer Park to host the Atlanta Silverbacks at 7:00pm. Prior to the match the RailHawks will host the Second Annual RailHawks Homebrew Soktoberfest starting at 5:00pm.
