Indianapolis, Ind. - Cary-native and local product, Zack Schilawski scored a second half goal to earn a 1-1 draw in the Carolina RailHawks 2014 season opener at Indy Eleven.

Down a goal, the RailHawks came out from halftime as the aggressor and created dangerous scoring chances. In the 50th minute, the RailHawks completed a series of deft passes atop the Indy box when Enzo Martinez found Tiyi Shipalane open in the corner. Shipalane took a touch then sent in a perfectly placed, bending cross into Schilawski. Beating his defender to the ball, Schilawski headed the ball into the back of the Indy net.

In their first-ever trip to Indianapolis, the RailHawks adjusted quickly to an energetic crowd for the expansion Indy Eleven. Despite controlling the first half possession, a defensive lapse in the 43rd minute of play led to an Indy goal from Mike Ambersley to open the scoring. Indy's Andrew Corrado intercepted a pass at the top of the RailHawks box and slipped a dangerous ball into Ambersely. Ambersley made a quick turn and fired a shot to give Indy the halftime lead.

The RailHawks return to WakeMed Soccer Park for their 2014 Home Opener on Saturday, April 19th to face league rival Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the 6th Annual Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint Community Shield Match.
