
RailHawks Defeated in Ottawa

Ottawa, ON, Canada (April 26, 2014) -The Carolina RailHawks (1W-1D-1L, 4pts) suffered their first loss of 2014 to the Ottawa Fury (1W-0T-2L, 3pts) on Saturday afternoon. The 4-0 loss snapped the RailHawks 5-match unbeaten streak dating back to 2013.
Both clubs created their chances in the first half, but it was Ottawa who open the score in the 34th minute with a goal by Brazilian forward Oliver. The RailHawks put pressure on Ottawa in the 39th minute, as winger Cesar Elizondo fired just wide of the Ottawa's net from 20 yards out.
In the Second half, Carolina thought they had won an early penalty, as Cesar Elizondo was taken down inside the Ottawa penalty area in the 47th minute. Ottawa's Phillipe Davies and Oliver would go on to score three goals in the 56th, 63rd and 72nd minutes, respectively to give Ottawa the victory.
The RailHawks return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, May 3rd to face the New York Cosmos.
