
RailHawks begin second half of the season with 1-1 tie in Vancouver

Vancouver, BC (Sunday, July 13th, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks (4-4-8) began the second half of their season with a 1-1 tie at Swangard stadium against the Vancouver Whitecaps (7-4-3) Sunday night. RailHawks forward Dand Antoniuk scored his third goal of the season after volleying in a header from RailHawks newest signing Hamed Diallo in the 74th minute. Vancouver responded immediately in the 75th when Whitecaps captain Martin Nash served a ball to Eduardo Sebrango who beat Chris McClellan in a one on one battle to fix the result at 1-1. The RailHawks were forced to play without Martin Nuñez after he received a red card in the last match against the Minnesota Thunder on Friday night.
The RailHawks return home on Friday July 18th at 7:30 PM to face Jonny Steele and the Puerto Rico Islanders just two days before their "Match of the Summer" against Mexican First Division's Rayados de Monterrey. The RailHawks Women have one more road match in Hampton Roads against the Piranhas on Friday July 18th before their final game of their inaugural season at WakeMed Soccer Park on Sunday July 20th at 7:30 PM against the Richmond Kickers Destiny. To accommodate high demand for the Monterrey match and other RailHawks events the LGFCU Box Office at WakeMed Soccer Park will Run extended hours this week. They are MON-THU 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, FRI 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, SAT 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and SUN 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
