Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
GARY, IN - The Gary South Shore RailCats have signed RHP Mike Weatherly a 6'5" rookie out of Angelo State University. Weatherly was with the RailCats during spring training after signing on December 30th. The Mesquite, Texas native finished his two-years with Angelo State with a 13-6 record and nine saves for the Rams. In 2013 he moved into the starting rotation and went 8-3 and a 2.52 ERA. To make room for Weatherly the RailCats released James Parr. Parr was singed by the club May 13th and is a former Atlanta Braves farm hand appearing in the Braves in the Big Leagues in 2008 and 2009.
