Raiders' Stevens Earns Player of the Week
June 17, 2014 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL)
Richmond Raiders News Release
Richmond Raiders kicker T.C. Stevens was named Vidswap.com Special Teams Player of the Week after the team's 46-29 win over the Harrisburg Stampede on Saturday. He set two league records, including most points kicking (22) and most field goals made (5) in one game. It is his second weekly honor this year, with both coming in the last three weeks.
Stevens scored 10 of the team's first 16 points and ensured that the Raiders came away with scores on eight of their 11 possessions before running out the clock. He missed just one field goal while connecting on kicks from 48, 29, 22, 19, and 45 yards. He was perfect on all four extra point attempts and added three unos for the third straight game.
Stevens now has eight Player of the Week awards in his career, the all time PIFL record. He is the league leader in field goals made and field goal percentage, as well as total points kicking with 90.
