
Raiders Reduce Training Camp Roster

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Following this afternoons annual Intra Squad Game, the Prince Albert Raiders reduced their Training Camp roster by assigning players to their respective teams.
Players released after the Intra Squad game were: Defencemen Steve Nolte, Riley Sweeney, Sawyer Lange and Brendan Kennedy, and Forwards Manuel Schellenberg, Brandon Formosa, Cody Michelle, Thomas Sowa, Justin Lund, Wyat Haustein, Brody Robinson and Allen Kilback.
The moves reduce the Raiders training camp roster to 36 including injured forwards Mark McNeill and Ryan Kowalski.
In the Intra Squad game, Ryan Button scored 35 seconds into overtime to give Team Black a 5-4 win over Team White. 15 year-old Mike Winther, the Raiders first round selection in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft, was in on all four Team White goals with 2 goals and 2 assists.
The Raiders kick off the 2009 Western Hockey League Exhibition season with a game Thursday at 7:00 PM when they host the Saskatoon Blades
