Prince Albert Raiders News Release
Prince Albert, SK- The 2013-14 Teddy Bear toss netted a mountain of Teddy Bears for the Children's Ward at the Victoria Regional Hospital. Representatives from both the Sasktel Pioneers and the Prince Albert Raider Hockey Club were on hand this week to present hundreds of Teddy Bears to the nursing staff in the Children's Ward (Pediatric Unit) at the Victoria Regional Hospital. The Teddy Bear Toss, sponsored by Sasktel Pioneers, Canadian Tire, and the Prince Albert Raider Hockey Club is held annually in December to collect donations for various causes. When the Raiders score their first goal of the game fans throw their teddy bears onto the playing surface. This year, over 600 stuffed animals were donated.
The Raiders would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's Teddy Bear toss and the Sasktel Pioneers and Canadian Tire for sponsoring the event.
