
Raiders Introduce Cory Clouston as Head Coach

Prince Albert SK - The Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League are pleased to introduce Cory Clouston as their new Head Coach. Clouston, a former head coach of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League, has signed a two year contract plus a club option year, with the Raiders. He becomes the 13th head coach in Prince Albert Raider history.
Clouston has extensive experience not only at the WHL level but also in the AHL and the NHL. In the WHL Clouston has a lifetime winning percentage of .622 (248-142-42) over six seasons with the Kootenay Ice and Brandon Wheat Kings, which is 16th all time among WHL Coaches. Clouston is a two time WHL Coach of the Year in 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 and won the CHL Coach of the Year in 2004-2005.
In professional hockey, Clouston spent two seasons with the AHL Binghamton Senators with a record of 62-50-16 and became the Ottawa Senators coach part way through the 2008-2009 season. He spent the next two seasons with the Senators posting a 95-83-20 record.
Clouston has won two WHL Championships (1999-2000 & 2001-2002) and a Memorial Cup (2001-2002) as an assistant coach with the Kootenay Ice. He has also won a Gold Medal as Head Coach of Team Canada U18 in 2006 and another Gold Medal as an Assistant Coach with Team Canada U18 in 2005.
