Raiders Home Opener Slated For March 29th

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (November 21, 2007)- Today at 10:00 am the Continental Indoor Football League(CIFL) has officially released the schedule for the 2008 regular season.
The 2008 CIFL Season will get underway March 7th however the Rochester Raiders are not scheduled to start their season until they travel to the Showplace Arena, Friday March 21, 2008 to play against the Chesapeake Tide. The Raiders will then come back home the following weekend to play their home opener at Blue Cross Arena Saturday March 29th at 2:00pm against the Lehigh Valley Outlawz.
The schedule will cover twelve games over a fourteen week span with the regular season concluding on June 6, 7, & 8. The playoffs are schedule to begin on June 14, with the 2008 CIFL Championship Game to be played on the weekend of June 28 at the home of the team with the best record.
The league will have two conferences, the Atlantic Conference and the Great Lakes Conference. The conferences will then be divided into an East and West Division. The Raiders will be a member of the Atlantic West Division along with Marion Mayhem, Saginaw Sting and a team from Flint that has yet to be named.
