Raiders Cut Ties With Former Player and Trainer

March 30, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Rochester Raiders News Release

The Rochester Raiders of the Indoor Football League (IFL) officially have cut ties with former player Jason Coley and former trainer Dr. Charles Livingston.

Livingston, 54, of Nunda, Livingston County, was charged with first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Coley, 29, of Greece, was charged with second-degree conspiracy and other related charges.

This came as a total shock to the organization which found out the same day as the public. Team owner David McCarthy said he learned about the arrests yesterday afternoon when he received a phone call from a police detective. "They notified me they were arresting two people associated with the organization," McCarthy said. "I don't know how or why they got involved. I don't know. They didn't tell me anything more than that."

The Rochester Raiders will not condone or tolerate any activity as such. Raiders owner Dave McCarthy says the team must stay focused on the task at hand which is their first home game on this Saturday, April 3 at 7:30 PM at the Dome Arena in Henrietta. An undefeated division leading Richmond Revolution team comes to the Dome Arena to take on the Rochester Raiders. We are asking the fans to rally around the team and come support them in their first home game this weekend.
