Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release
The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (7-6) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (3-9) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-3 win at Doyle Field.
Dylan Begin (UMass) reached base three times. Begin scored one run and had one RBI while also singling in the third inning and homering in the fifth inning.
Josh Raymond racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Nick Whittaker (St. Joe's College) improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. Whittaker struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.
Michael Marshall (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
