Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (21-23) fell to the Seacoast Mavericks (19-25), 10-2 on Tuesday night at The Ballpark.
The Mavs offense came in bunches, striking for three runs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings. Chris Hoyt (Walpole, MA/Stonehill) had a strong night at the plate, going 3-5 with two RBI.
Nick Whittaker (Yarmouth, ME/Saint Joseph's) suffered his first loss of the season, going five innings, giving up four runs, and striking out eight.
Aaron Wilson (Windsor, CT/Hartford) was the lone spark in the Tide offense, going 2-4.
Seacoast had 12 hits on the ballgame, while OOB had eight.
The two teams will face off again tomorrow in Portsmouth for a 6:35pm start time.
