Raging Tide All Star Selections Announced

Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League has announced that seven of their players have been selected to the 2013 FCBL All Star Game. Position players selected include 2B Aaron Wilson (Windsor, CT/ Hartford), OF Matt Pagano (Cranston, RI/ Marist), OF Graham McIntire (Concord, NH/ Marist), and 1B Phil Sciretta (Duxbury, MA/ Virginia Tech). Pitchers selected are SP Ryan Otero (Coral Gables, FL/ Miami), Closer Tyler Pogmore (Lebanon, CT/ Roger Williams), and SP Nick Whitaker (Yarmouth, ME/ St. Josephs).

Wilson, a sophomore at the University of Hartford, is batting .258 with 14 RBI and 11 SB through 37 games. Pagano, a sophomore at Marist College, has a .299 BA with 1 HR, 20 RBI, and 4 triples in 36 games. McIntire, also a sophomore at Marist, has a .217 average, 20 RBI, and 20 runs scored in his 37 games this season. Virgina Tech sophomore Phil Sciretta is hitting .290 with 15 RBI and 1 HR in 28 games.

Otero, a sophomore at the University of Miami, has 1-2 record, 3.64 ERA, and 23 SO in 8 games started. Pogmore, a junior at Roger Williams, has a 0.61 ERA, 7 saves, and 17 strikeouts in 15 appearances. Whitaker, a senior at St. Josephs College, has a 5-0 record with a 2.84 ERA in 7 games.

The 2013 FCBL All Star game will be played on Thursday, July 25 at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield, ME. Raging tide All Stars will play for Team New England and will be facing Team Massachusetts.
