
Hyde Named to FCBL All Star Game in Fan Vote

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League has announced that Catcher Mekae Hyde (Lewiston, Maine/Bates College) has been named as the final roster spot for the 2013 FCBL All Star Game.
Over 74,000 votes were casted in three days as the Futures Collegiate Baseball League held a fan vote for the remaining 25th roster spot for team Massachusetts and team New England. Of the over 74,000 votes that were cast, Raging Tide Catcher Mekae Hyde received 12,724 votes to acquire the final vote for team New England.
Hyde is currently hitting .339 with 6 RBI and 1 Home Run for the Tide to go with 20 hits and 11 runs during the 2013 season. The second annual FCBL All Star game will be held in Pittsfield, Massachusetts this Thursday, July 25th at Wahconah Park. Game time will begin at 7:00pm as the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide will represent team New England with 8 players.
