Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

Broomfield, Colo. - The Central Hockey League announced today that Rocky Mountain Rage goaltender Scott Reid has been named to the Northern Conference roster for the CHL All-Star Game, which will be played tomorrow at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m. It will be his fourth CHL All-Star appearance.

Reid replaces Mississippi RiverKings goaltender Sebastien Centomo, who was injured in the RiverKings' game on Saturday night versus the Youngstown SteelHounds. Centomo was originally selected by the Northern Conference head coach, Tracy Egeland of the Rage, to be one of the reserve goaltenders for the North. Centomo is 13-9-1 this season with a 2.48 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

Reid comes into the game as the backstop of the CHL's top team, the Rocky Mountain Rage, and as the league leader with 18 wins. His overall record is 18-3-2 with a 3.02 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. The Grand Prairie, Alberta, native has played in three previous CHL All-Star Games, representing the San Angelo Saints twice ('04 & '05) and the Corpus Christi Rayz once ('06).

Tomorrow's All-Star festivities get underway with a Fan Fest when the BEC's doors open at 4:30 p.m. All fans with All-Star Game tickets are invited to arrive early for player autographs, various concourse games, and the opportunity to get their photo taken with the Stanley Cup. The puck drops between the Northern and Southern Conferences at 7:05 p.m.

The game can be heard live on The New ESPN Radio 1600 beginning at 6:40 p.m. with the pre-game show. Live audio and video will also be streamed online at www.rockymountainrage.com.

Tickets are still available for the 2008 CHL All-Star Game with prices ranging from $18 - $43 per seat (parking included).
