RiverCity Rage News Release
St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage of United Indoor Football (UIF) return home this Saturday night for their first home game in over a month. The Rage last played at The Family Arena in St. Charles on May 5th, a loss to the Bloomington Extreme.
The Rage will be celebrating Christian Family Night, as church groups from around the St. Louis metro area can receive tickets for as low as $3. As a part of the night's festivities, newly-elected Pro Football Hall of Fame member Roger Wehrli will speak to the crowd prior to the 7:15 kickoff.
Wehrli spent his entire 14-year career (1969 - 1982) as a cornerback for the football version of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year. Prior to his professional career, the Missouri native was an All-American at the University of Missouri under coach Dan Devine.
The Rage (6-4) are tied for fist place in the Eastern Conference of the UIF as they get set to host Ohio Valley, Saturday night. RiverCity fell to the Greyhounds, 55-37, on May 12th, in Wheeling, WV. RiverCity is coming off an impressive 38-31 win on the road against the Lexington Horsemen last Saturday night. The win snapped a four-game losing skid and placed them squarely in the playoff picture. Ohio Valley (2-7) has lost two straight, including a tough, 56-55, loss at home against the Rock River Raptors.
The gates open at 6 p.m. at The Family Arena with kickoff slated for 7:15. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Rage hat provided by American Eagle Credit Union.
Rage individual game tickets are now on sale and start as low as $10. Tickets can be purchased at The Family Arena box office, 2002 Arena Parkway, any MetroTix location, www.ragefootball.com or by calling the Rage office at (636) 896-4285.
