Rage supports WIL's 16th annual "Country Cares For Kids" Radiothon

St. Louis, MO - The RiverCity Rage would like to thank all those who made last weeks WIL's Radiothon a success! The event, which took place at St. Louis Mills Mall, was WIL's 16th Annual "Country Cares for Kids" Radiothon, benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Over $550,000 was raised for St. Jude's, which was highest amount to date!

RiverCity Rage players, cheerleaders and staff were present both days, signing autographs and taking pictures with those who made donations to St. Jude's. In addition, the Rage donated $20 from each upper level, and $30 from each lower level season ticket that was sold during the Radiothon.

"It was great!" stated Morris Groves, RiverCity Rage Director of Operations. "People were calling non-stop, and continued to drop off donations during both days. We [the RiverCity Rage] are proud to be involved with this event, and are always excited with the opportunity to support foundations such as St. Jude's."

In addition, Scott Wilson, Team Owner, was across town on Friday accepting a Certificate of Appreciation from the American Red Cross. The Rage have partnered with the American Red Cross to increase awareness of local blood drives, and have donated tickets, which awarded to those who give blood. The RiverCity Rage players and cheerleaders will make their next appearance at Scott Air Force Base and Fort Leonard Wood this Saturday, February 26th to increase awareness for the home opener March 26th, which will pay tribute to the Nations Armed Forces.
