RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage of United Indoor Football (UIF) will look to put an end to their two-game losing streak as they hit the road to take on the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. Kickoff in Wheeling, WV is slated for 7 p.m. EDT on Saturday night. This will be RiverCity's first look at the Greyhounds this season. The two teams will meet again on June 9th; the next scheduled home game for the Rage.

The Rage (5-2) are coming off a 49-23 loss at home to the Bloomington Extreme last week. The loss was the second straight for the Rage after opening the season 5-0. However, even with the consecutive losses, the Rage still sit atop the Eastern Conference, one-half game in front of Lexington.

"We were embarrassed last week," said Rage head coach, Jim Cox. "We need to get our attitude back to where it was earlier this season."

Injuries have been an issue for the Rage this season and are, once again, playing a part this week. Linebacker Joe Bevis, defensive back Taurus Ferguson and wide receiver Travis Williams are all out for this week's game.

Ohio Valley (1-5) has lost three straight games and sits in last place of the Eastern Conference. The Greyhounds are led by a trio of players who are among the league leaders in their positions. Quarterback Freddy Ray ranks fourth in total offense with 183.8 total yards per game. Running back Keith Brooks is seventh in rushing with 33.5 yards per game. Linebacker Devin Conwell ranks fourth with 6.7 tackles per game.

The Rage have also announced the signing of quarterback Jamar Culver. A two-year starter at Minot (ND) State, Culver played in another league in 2006. Prior to his tenure at Minot State, Culver was a record setter at Antelope Junior College in Lancaster, CA. He still holds the single-season records for completions (197) and yards (2,346).

"He is an experienced player," said Cox. "He brings us depth at the quarterback position that we haven't had all season. We have been dressing only one quarterback. We really have needed two."

Rage individual game tickets are now on sale and start as low as $10. Tickets can be purchased at The Family Arena box office, 2002 Arena Parkway, any MetroTix location, www.ragefootball.com or by calling the Rage office at (636) 896-4285.
