Ice Add Two Local Standouts to Roster

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice of United Indoor Football (UIF) have signed former University of Colorado player Clyde Surrell and Air Force Academy standout Ross Weaver.

Surrell, from Denver, CO, played one year in another league before coming back to Colorado. He led his team in interceptions and forced fumbles and was second in total tackles. Surrell also garnered preseason All-Conference honors and was named "Player of the Game" on three separate occasions while playing for the Buffaloes. He earned three varsity letters in football and four in track from Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, CO. He was named All-League three times and All-State twice while playing for the Raptors.

Hailing from Parker, CO, Weaver spent time at tight end and offensive tackle while playing for the Falcons. He was an honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference selection in 2004 and 2005 and named most valuable lineman by the team in the same years. Weaver attended Ponderosa High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He was named to the first team All-League in 2000 and 2001 and was an honorable mention All-State selection.

The Ice face the Billings Outlaws tonight at 7 p.m. in Billings before hosting the Sioux City Bandits at 7:05 p.m. on May 19, at the Budweiser Events Center for "Military Night."
