Radoslovich Returns to Mallards

Moline, IL-The Quad Mallards announced today that forwards Matt Radoslovich and Justin Chwedoruk have agreed to terms for the 2006-07 season. Radoslovich returns to the Quad Cities after making his pro debut with the Mallards in 2005-06. He attended Augusta Lynx (ECHL) training camp this fall before signing with the Mallards. Chwedoruk is classified as a UHL rookie after appearing in 59 games last season in the Central Hockey League (CHL).

Radoslovich led 2005-06 Mallards rookies in scoring with 46 points (23 goals and 23 assists) in 76 games. He spent most of the season on a line with Chad Woollard and Glenn Detulleo. Radoslovich's contributions helped Woollard reach a career high in goals and Detulleo reach a career high in assists. The Wanaque, New Jersey native enjoyed a tremendous post-season as he lead the team in scoring with 13 points (six goals and seven assists) during a seven game series vs. Danbury. Radoslovich played four seasons at Boston University before joining the Mallards. He recorded 29 points (12 goals and 17 assists) in 123 collegiate games. As a senior, he scored four goals and added five assists for nine points in 41 games.

Chwedoruk played with the Lubbock Cotton Kings and Oklahoma City Blazers of the CHL in 2005-06. He totaled 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists in his initial pro campaign. The St. Albert, Alberta native also appeared in seven Oklahoma City playoff games. During the post-season, he recorded four points on two goals and two assists. During his amateur career, Chwedoruk spent two seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and played a single season of American collegiate hockey. In 2004-05, he scored 36 points (14 goals and 22 assists) in 42 games for Spruce Grove of the AJHL.

The team also announced today that defensemen Steve MacIntyre and Craig Lazaruk have been removed from the active roster. MacIntyre has been placed on a non-roster spot after leaving the team for personal reasons. Lazaruk has been waived.

The Mallards make their first ever trip to Bloomington on Thursday. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show is on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230 beginning at 6:50 p.m. On Saturday night, the Mallards journey to Port Huron to face the Flags. Game time is 6:30 p.m. central time and the Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show will air at 6:05 p.m. Both games are also available for purchase via the b2 Network at qcmallards.com.

Opening Weekend at The MARK presented by Genesis is set for Friday, November 3rd vs. Fort Wayne and Saturday, November 4th vs. Rockford. Game time is 7:00 p.m. on both nights and both contests will be preceded by a laser show and pyrotechnics display. A special ticket package is available for both games courtesy of Genesis.
