Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, in conjunction with the Rockford MetroCentre and the Rock River Valley Raptors (UIF), announced on Tuesday that LaMonica Beverages has been named the official alcoholic beverage sponsor of the MetroCentre, IceHogs and Raptors. The announcement was made at a press conference on Tuesday at the MetroCentre.

LaMonica Beverages distributes Budweiser and other Anheuser-Busch products in Winnebago, Boone and parts of McHenry, Ogle and DeKalb Counties. LaMonica Beverages has exclusive marketing rights with the IceHogs, Raptors and MetroCentre and the agreement spans three years. The marketing includes signage and promotions associated with the MetroCentre, IceHogs and Raptors.

The IceHogs have integrated Bud Light into several of the team's functions and promotions such as Bud Light HogTalk, Bud Light Meet the Team Parties, Bud Light Post-Game Parties and Jersey Koozie Giveaway Night on Friday, Nov. 24. Bud Light HogTalk takes place each Monday from 7-8 p.m. at Shooter's North. The weekly show is hosted by WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T and features IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson and a pair of IceHogs players.

CLOUTIER CALLED-UP TO CHICAGO

Martinson also announced on Tuesday that IceHogs goaltender Frederic Cloutier has been loaned to the Chicago Wolves (AHL). Cloutier has played in three of the IceHogs four contests this season and has a record of 1-2-0. The Hogs puck-stopper has appeared in 38 total games in the AHL and has a career record of 10-11-4 at the next level.

Cloutier is the first IceHogs skater to get loaned to the AHL this season. Last year, Rockford led all of Double-A professional hockey with 14-free agent call-ups to the "A". Cloutier is expected to suit up tonight for the Wolves when they take on the Manitoba Moose at 7 p.m. at the All State Arena in Rosemont.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 28 vs. Chicago Hounds. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. The pesky Hounds return to Rockford and the IceHogs will have revenge on its minds. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a Transistor Radio courtesy of WNTA-AM 1330 and WXRX-FM 104.9. Beginning Saturday, IceHogs fans will be able to listen to the game in the Rockford MetroCentre! Also, come dressed up for Halloween as the IceHogs will hold a costume contest with some great prizes. Kids that come dressed up can Trick-or-Treat with the IceHogs on the ice following the game.
