Racing Acquires 2025 Draft Pick in Beall Trade
January 8, 2024 - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL)
Racing Louisville FC News Release
Racing Louisville and the San Diego Wave have agreed to a trade that will send goalkeeper Hillary Beall to San Diego, the clubs announced Monday.
In exchange, Racing will receive San Diego's natural second-round pick in the 2025 NWSL Draft.
"We thank Hillary for her time in Louisville and wish her the best as she moves closer to home in Southern California," said Racing general manager Ryan Dell. "Hillary has been an outstanding teammate and the consummate professional in her time with Racing."
Beall, 24, spent the past two years with Racing after signing a rookie contract with the club ahead of the 2022 campaign. The former University of Michigan standout backed up Racing's No. 1 goalkeeper, Katie Lund.
A native of Laguna Beach, California, Beall is currently on loan with Western United in Australia's A-League Women, where last season she won the league's Goalkeeper of the Year award and helped the club reach the Grand Final in its first year of top-flight soccer.
The slot for San Diego's 2025 NWSL Draft pick will be determined by the club's place in the final standings for the 2024 season.
