Reading Fightin Phils News Release

FirstEnergy Stadium – The Reading Phillies and Harley Davidson are two great American traditions. Now they have teamed up for another unique addition to historic FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Classic Harley Davidson Café will be constructed underneath the right field grandstand, it was announced today. The open-air café will have a footprint of 20 feet in depth and 90 feet in length. It will include an express beer station along with a 40-foot bar, closed circuit televisions, and a stage for the one and only Reading Phillies Mascot Band.

The theme of the café will be purely Harley Davidson. A souvenir window specializing in Harley Davidson branded merchandise, a Harley Davidson motor cycle display, and special Harley barstools will help create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

The café will be located in an area that was formerly the understructure of the right field grandstand. The support structure has been re-engineered to allow for an open area of 1,800 square feet. Aluminum panels will be attached to the underside of the grandstand so debris from the seating area above cannot fall through.

"This is another example of how we have been able to convert unused real estate at a 53-year old stadium into a creative revenue generating area," said Reading General Manager Chuck Domino. "The Harley Davidson brand is extremely hot and we feel that our customers will relate to this area and the ways in which we plan to market it.

The café will be open during all home games and plans are to allow early entrance into the café area Fridays for Classic Harley Happy Hours. Additionally, the Mascot Band will perform there on stage following several weekend night games.

"This is another unique area in the most unique ballpark in the country," added Domino.
