Quintanilla Placed on Injured List, Seijas Activated

FREDERICKSBURG, VA - The Washington Nationals announced on Thursday that Fredericksburg right-handed pitcher Cole Quintanilla has been placed on the injured list, and right-handed pitcher Karlo Seijas has been reinstated from the development list.

Quintanilla, 22, appeared in five games for the FredNats since joining the club in August. He went 0-2 with a 4.50 earned run average in 6.0 innings, converting 2 of 4 save opportunities.

Seijas, 21, was placed on the development list on September 7. He is 3-12 with a 6.84 earned run average, and his 97.1 innings pitched are the third-most in the Low-A East this season.

The active roster currently stands at 30, plus one player on the development list.

The Fredericksburg Nationals continue their final series of the year against the Lynchburg Hillcats on Thursday night. First pitch from FredNats Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05.
