Charleston Swamp Foxes News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC â A pair of Swamp Foxes' newcomers earn weekly team honors today. Quarterback Billy Luckie was awarded the team's Player of the Week honor while the Fox Hole Fan Club selected Terrance Quattlebaum as its top performer for Week Two.
Luckie, a two-year arenafootball2 veteran, had by far the most successful performance under center for the Swamp Foxes this season. After a shaky first quarter, he completed 18-of34 passes for 236 yards and three touchdown strikes in the comeback attempt.
Luckie surpassed the 3,000-yard passing plateau Saturday night. He currently has 3,059 yards and 54 passing touchdowns in his career.
Quattlebaum, who spent last season catching passes in New Haven of the af2, had his best night as a Swamp Fox Saturday. He pulled in nine passes for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Charleston's second half explosion versus the Firecats. He tallied a 37-yards scoring strike late in the third quarter, and added a 10-yard tally early in the fourth. He also caught a season-long pass of 43 yards, which set up a 2-yard scoring plunge by teammate Marlon Moye-Moore.
Quattlebaum accounted for 185 total yards in the game.
Charleston travels to Cincinnati to play the expansion Swarm this Saturday, April 19. The game can be heard live on ESPN Radio, 1340 AM or on the Internet at www.goswampfoxes.com.
