Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes tallied back-to-back wins for the first time in the second half with a 5-2 win over the Lancaster JetHawks on Friday night.

In front of a sellout crowd, Rancho mashed three more homers, giving them seven in the first two games of the series, while Andre Jackson recorded his first Cal League victory of his career.

Deacon Liput, two batters into the bottom of the first, blasted his first home run in a Quakes uniform to give his squad an early 2-0 lead. To cap off the bottom of the first, Connor Wong plated Donovan Casey on an RBI single, making it 3-0.

The other two runs on the night for Rancho were the other two long balls, as Jeter Downs and Niko Hulsizer belted a pair of solo shots in the third and the sixth, respectively.

The JetHawks made it interesting in the top of the eighth, pushing across a run to make it a 5-2 contest. However, Sven Schueller, inheriting a bases-loaded situation, recorded a pair of huge outs to limit the damage.

Jackson (1-1) tallied the aforementioned win, lasting 5.1 innings with nine punchouts. Schueller grabbed his second save of the year in 1.2 scoreless frames.

Ryan Rolison (2-4) was able to pitch six innings in his start, but he surrendered five runs (four earned) on seven hits.

On Saturday, LHP Leo Crawford (2-3) tallies his second start of the second half for the Quakes, while the JetHawks call on RHP Antonio Santos (3-3).

Saturday at LoanMart Field is the first postgame firework show of the second half, paired with a U.S. Bank Hat Giveaway to the first 1,500 fans through the gates.
