Quakes release 2007 promotional schedule

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are celebrating their 15th anniversary season, and in this crystal anniversary campaign, the team, along with their valued corporate partners, will offer fifteen firework shows, in addition to giveaway nights, player appearances, and visits from national traveling mascot acts, the club announced Friday.

"We are stoked about the promotional calendar as we are offering fans a variety of promotions and different giveaway items for our fifteenth anniversary celebration," said Quakes Executive Vice President and General Manager Gerard McKearney.

The popular firework shows include the annual July 3rd Fireworks Spectacular. Fireworks will also be offered twice during Opening Weekend, on Thursday, April 5th, and again on Saturday, April 7th. The remaining fireworks shows will occur on Friday or Saturday nights during the season, with the notable exception of a Thursday show on August 23rd.

The giveaways for 2007 are highlighted by a series of figurine giveaways depicting the three members of the inaugural class of the Quakes Baseball Hall of Fame: Gary Matthews Jr., Matt Clement, and Derrek Lee. The Matthews figurine, sponsored by Vineyard Bank, will be given out on Saturday, June 2nd, the Clement figurine, sponsored by Southwest Airlines, will be on June 30th, and the Lee figurine will be given away on September 1st. As part of the club's 15th year anniversary celebration, the team will giveaway a t-shirt depicting the Quakes logo, circa 1993, on Saturday, May 19th, sponsored by 4 a Safe Ride Home. A replica cap giveaway will take place later in the season on Saturday, August 11th. Limited quantities will be available for each giveaway.

National traveling mascot Rally will visit The Epicenter on Friday, May 25th, while Reggy will visit on Friday, June 22nd, and Zooperstars on Friday, July 27th. Mascot Mania will descend on The Epicenter for Tremor's annual birthday bash on Sunday, July 1st. The Quakes will also be pleased to welcome former major leaguers Steve Sax (Sunday, June 3rd), and Frank Tanana (Sunday, July 29th) to The Epicenter in 2007 for autograph appearances.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are the Advanced-A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and open their 2007 season on Thursday, April 5th at home against the Lake Elsinore Storm.
