Quad City's Jeff Lee Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 2, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Quad City Mallards forward Jeff Lee has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 2, 2013.

Quad City played three games last week carding two wins and a shootout loss. Their first game was held on Wednesday versus Missouri where Lee scored a shorthanded goal to send the game into overtime. Lee also had one assist and two shots on the night. Quad City's luck turned around after Thanksgiving with a 4-3 win over St. Charles as Lee once again had one assist and one goal in the third period. The big win for Quad City happened the next night as they defeated Tulsa with a 9-3 win. Lee scored the first and fifth goal, as well as assisted on their ninth and final goal of the night. The Calgary native doubled his goals in last week's run, sending his total to eight goals in fourteen games.

Lee leads the Mallards and is tenth in the CHL with eight goals on the season and he has scored more goals in 14 games this season than he did all of last year (55 games).
