As the Arizona Rattlers enter training camp, they announced today the return of award winning, record-breaking QB NICK DAVILA for his third season with the Arizona Rattlers.
In his second season with the Rattlers, Davila continued to break records and was named 2011 AFL National Guard MVP of the Year, the first time the AFL has handed out an MVP award since 1995. He led the league in pass efficiency (127.6) and ranked second in completion percentage (70.7) and pass completions (427). Davila also led the Rattlers to their best regular season in the Rattlers 18 year franchise history, notching 16 wins and just 2 losses. Under Davila's leadership, the Rattlers won the National Conference Championship and returned to the Arena Bowl for the first time since 2004.
In 2011, Davila broke many of his own franchise records that he set in his rookie year of 2010, including the most passing yards (4,916), pass completions, and TDs (117).
